Message Last Thread About 62mm TBs

So I have some time and $$$$ set aside to work on getting the TBs into production (initial run of 25 or 50 sets). Before I sit down and hash out all the nitty gritty details with a shop capable of delivering the quality required I wanted to touch base with all of you again to guage the current interest.

The TBs will be machined from solid 6061 aluminum, not cast.
The shafts will be machined from SS or coated steel.
The throttle plates will be machined from A235 brass.
The bearings will be double sealed and the seals will be triple contact (2 ID, 1 OD).

All materials will be sourced from within the USA (except the bearings, they are from Japan).

All machining, assembly and QC will be performed in Tucson, AZ. USA.

I will offer them in 60, 61, or 62mm. The smaller sizes will allow for extreme clamping pressure with T-bolt clamps. I have not had any complaints about the 61mm cast TBs cracking so the 62mm should be just fine.

50mm 350 CFM
54mm 468 CFM
58mm 484 CFM
60mm 530 CFM
61mm 560 CFM
62mm 598 CFM

From some of the quotes I have received it looks like the cost will be $600 shipped in the lower 48 states. This will include new Delrin spring spacers.

I apologize for the extremely long delay and I realize some/all of the following have either gone a different direction or maybe don't own Zs any longer but here is the list I had from before, anyone on this list obviously has first right of refusal on the first 25 sets. If there is at least 40 people interested I can do 50 sets.

There will be a few more threads before I'm ready to start taking deposits if it gets that far.

Thank you
